Aside from the excitement of having warm weather, you might be thinking of getting ready for spring. Change of clothing, kids’ spring break and…..HOME SPRING CLEANING!
It’s time for reorganizing, cleaning carpets, deep dusting, changing beddings, and so on and so forth. The list is long and there’s enough in it for more than a month. You want to be ready. Just remember that you may want to take this time as an opportunity to give some TLC to your home and make it your favorite place to be this spring season. We can’t do much about dust bunnies. But some changes around the house will keep you away from so much cleaning and closer to enjoying spring.
This season is also popular for moving, new home building and remodeling projects. It really is an inspiring month. Whether it is in your own home, the one you’re moving into or the one you’re about to build, the following are some ideas to help you get ready for this and many springs to come.

The powder room is your business card. This a perfect place to show your love for the season. Splurge on this Room – It is likely the only room many of your guests will be alone in – with a little time to really look around. There isn’t much square footage and it’s a high traffic area, so why not put the most into it? Re-grouting may be a good idea.
It would make your bathroom look like it was just finished! If you have bigger plans and are thinking of renovating or building, think about adding spaces where you can organize items according to season changes. Don’t forget to leave some space to put those items away. Having shelves and drawers will help you keep this place ready for any season in a few minutes.

Make sure yours can open to begin with! –some older homes have that issue when they have been painted over. Also, windows expand and contract with the change of seasons and you want to make sure they are in good condition to open. With the spring, new life comes afloat….meaning bugs! Remember to put the screens in your windows. Make sure you are ready to welcome the beauty of nature, but not inside your house.
